Consumer information

In accordance with the provisions of the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia, the Government of Catalonia has exclusive powers over consumer affairs, including, among other things, the regulation of information concerning consumers and users.

The principal aim of the Catalan Consumer Agency (ACC) is to guarantee people's rights as consumers of goods and products and users of services. Consumers have the right to be informed and to receive the appropriate advice in order to exercise their rights at all times.

What we do

a) We inform, guide and advise consumers and users about their rights and the most effective way of exercising them by various means (telephone, remote data, face-to-face...)

b) We inform commercial establishments about the requirements affecting their activity in relation to the rights and duties of consumers and users

c) We analyse and process the complaints, claims and reports of offences presented by consumers with the competent bodies.

d) We coordinate and provide support to consumer organisations and to the public consumer information offices in Catalonia, both concerning existing consumer law regulations and general or isolated problems that consumers may present for their attention.
